NABAD (Pulse) for Development works with four groups of 15 Lebanese and Syrian women to improve women’s rights in rural Bekaa. Building on the success of EED-supported USPeak, this offshoot initiative empowers women to run community projects with local governments. They will paint a mural, use social media and create a film to promote women’s rights in their communities. Many donors concentrate on humanitarian needs in the region, leaving a gap in good governance and human rights support.
