Initiative summary:

Online media platform Nawaat (“core” in Arabic) has established itself as a leading independent alternative voice in Tunisia, focusing on democracy, accountability, justice, civil liberties and human rights. They produce high-quality original reporting and aggregate citizen-generated news. EED support is allowing them to cooperate with expert artists and technicians to develop new engaging content and strategies to reach a wider audience. They are also working on organising offline activities such as cultural events, concerts and exhibitions that aim to start socio-political debates.
