Initiative summary:

North Macedonia is dealing with the biggest ever brain drain in its history and young people are choosing to immigrate abroad rather than to stay and invest time for their country.
The Youth Association Ekvalis from Skopje aims to mobilise and engage youth in meaningful democratic processes in their local communities through activism. The organisation has implemented several micro projects and runs three separate youth clubs: a gender equality club, an ability club with disabled youth, and a media lab. EED provided Ekvalis a grant to cover their core expenses and activities, enabling this organisation to sustain and restructure itself, by involving more innovative approaches in youth activism.
